PamelaWare for Wordpress Frequently Asked Questions

What is the current version of the plugin?

Current version is v0.9

How hard is it to upgrade from earlier versions

There is an automated upgrade process in place, just follow the Upgrade Guide

What do I need to get started?

Right now, you need a static IP address and a certificate to make this work, which will cost you. In the near future, those requirements will go away, as long as you don't have high security needs (for example you aren't selling anything from your blog).

Is there a way to temporarily disable card access to my blog?

Yes, you can either deactivate the plugin, or you can go to the information card option page, and choose not to trust both managed and personal cards. One method will remove the infocard login icon altogether, and the latter method will simply return an error if a user tries to use an information card.

I just upgraded to Wordpress 2.5.1 and now the white text in the login form is unreadable!

This will become a configuration option in the future -- but for now, you need to edit a file called admin.pw.php -- instructions are here: http://pamelaproject.com/pwwp/?p=16

What if I want to change the icon on the front page?

Copy whatever image file you want to use on the front page into plugins/wp-infocard/pwlib/images, and then edit pw-config.php, and change the name of the image in the PW_FP_ICON link. Your new image should now show up on the frontpage!
